Change the shoutout channel

Needs admin access. Public shoutouts from the dashboard post here. Private ones go straight to the person by DM.

  1. Add Culture Engine to the channel, in Slack

    Culture Engine can only post in a channel it has been added to. If it is not in the new channel yet, add it there first. Open that channel in Slack and type /invite. Choose Add agents and apps to this channel. Find Culture Engine and click Add.

  2. Open Slack & workspace

    Back in Culture Engine, open Settings → Workspace and pick Slack & Workspace. Stay on the Slack tab.

  3. Set the default shoutouts channel

    Search under Default shoutouts channel and pick one. Channels marked bot not in channel are the ones to add Culture Engine to first.

Good to know
Your members come from this channel. Switching it changes who takes part, so check Members after.You cannot pick an archived channel. Choose an active one.
